Volume 185: Memorial Day 2022

Volume 185: Memorial Day - May 29, 2022

Hello fellow Accomplice!

May all the Fallen, all battles, any country, exist in the light of Love, Gratitude, Sorrow, profound Peace.

Here at Audiobook Accomplice, we do love our Veterans, and we oh so gratefully wish to honor the Fallen.

May you find a review or two that inspires you to consider those fighting, sacrificing, dying tomorrow on Memorial Day. And keep their families in mind as well.

Much love…

And so let’s get ready for a new week of Listening, shall we?

Romance makes a return with one o’ my much-loved P&P variations, a new Animals pick (Which, by the way, we’ve skipped for some time, so let’s go for the Rescued becoming the Rescuers!), a contemplation of Living while facing Death, and finally: we’ll see how a graphic novel about Pondering Gender works in audiobook form.

Do say you’ll join me!

Details for the audiobooks are on the Listening to Now page.

Huzzah!

I’d feel sheepish (Except I don’t…) that I’ve been keeping toes crossed that a certain offering would get bunches of votes, or maybe this other one, or this OTHER one? All three have!!!

Sooo, a 3-way tie is currently in play, so I’m in SUCH a quandary, requiring guidance -and-

Voting now, voting often. Help me out?

Details for the audiobooks are at Tell Me What’s Next. Feel free to also suggest another audiobook for future review.

And so…

A good dog is ever faithful, ever watching for a beloved master or mistress to come home from war.

There’s no such thing as Peace in a world filled with flawed humans.

The best we can do is support the living, honor the dead, be there for the grieving.

Take care tomorrow, and I’ll see y’all next Sunday.

Your Accomplice, Gillian
